Rotary Indexing Table Transfer MachinesRotary Indexing Table Transfer Machines - Rotary arrangements are used where space limitation does not allow the work to be transferred in a straight line. Rotary arrangement saves floor space and presents a more compact arrangement. A rotary indexing table is used for transferring components from fixed stations of machining heads, which are spaced at equal intervals around the periphery of the table. Rotary transfer lines have been successfully installed for the complete automatic assembly of a product where no metal removal is involved. Rotary transfer machines are smaller in size as compared to inline transfer machines. This is because there is a limit to the size of a table which can be held and rotated in a centre base, which will be sufficiently rigid to maintain the component accuracy required. |
