Work Loading Devices for Transfer MachinesWork Loading Devices for Transfer Machines - The nature of work loading devices employed will depend upon the type of transfer machine and the shape and size of the component. In the case of large components, they may be placed into position at the first station by an operator using mechanical handling equipment such as electric hoists and conveyors. Small components may be fed in large quantities into a hopper to be automatically loaded from the hopper into the first station using a hydraulic, pneumatic or electrical device. The components are traveling down a gravity loading chute from the hopper and are therefore quencing up ready for loading. The component in the loading head is pushed across to drop into position in the fixture on the transfer machine. When the loading head reverses, the next component pushes into the head under the weight of the others behind it. |
