GroutingGrouting - When leveling is completed, the machine tool may be grouted in. Before doing this any gap between the edge of the base and the concrete should be covered by strips of wood and then the grouting is carried out by pouring a creamy mixture of almost pure cement so that it fills up all the voids between the base and the concrete and provides a large area of support. At the same time it will fill up the space surrounding the foundation bolts which must be lifted (by the nuts) and held in a suitable position as soon as the cement has been poured. In a few days the grouting will be hard, w hen the wedges may be removed and the concrete at the edges of the base made good.
