Location of Machine Tools - Location means deciding a suitable place, area etc., where the machine tool will be installed. The place should be such, where the machine tool will be­ safe and free from external interferences.

It should be ensured that at that particular place, sufficient space/area should be available for all the moving parts of that machine tool, taking into consideration the maximum traverse of the table and saddle of the machine tool and those of adjacent machine tools. Sufficient space should also be allowed for the operator, tools and for stocking of row material and finished components.
