Plastics - Hollow ground circular saws, running at 900 to 1500 m/min can be used for most plastics. Acetal, polycarbonate, polyethylene, polypropylene and Teflon may be run at speeds up to 240Q m/min. Carbide tipped blades is best for epoxy, formaldehydes and polyester.
Feed steadily and rapidly, with the blade protruding well above the work. Blades for acrylic should have 10 to 15 teeth per 25 mm, but 4 to 8 teeth per 25 mm are satisfactory for most other plastics.
