Size of Vertical Boring Machines - The sizes (table diameter) of vertical boring, mills range from 900 mm upwards. The vertical travel of either the ram heads or turret heads may be from 300 to 1200 mm on standard machines.Motors of 20 to 100 HP (15 to 75 kW) and sometimes larger are used to turn the work table (through a gear drive).
