Divided Table PlanersDivided Table Planers - It is also known as tandem planer. The planer has two tables, which may be reciprocated together or separately. In
continuous
production
work,
when
small
work
pieces
clamped
on
one
table
are
being
machined,
the
other
table
is
stationary
and
is
used
for
setting
up
fresh
workpieces.
This
type
of
system
saves
much
of
the
idle
time
of
the
planer
otherwise
involved
in
setting
the
work,
had
there
been
only
one
worktable. The two tables may be joined together to hold bigger size work. |
