Puncher SlottersPuncher Slotters -Puncher slotter is intended for removing large amount of metal from heavy work which has been forged, stamped or sawn roughly to shape. It can remove from 1.5-2.5 kg of metal per minute. The rough contour of a job can, as a rule, be easily and quickly obtained through forging etc., and the puncher slotter can be used, riot only to remove the surplus metal, but also to finish to shape, and the saving in time will more than compensate for the waste of metal. For example, locomotive crank webs can be slotted from rectangular slabs to exact size in less time than by any other method. The machine makes use of slotted link of bell crank lever type for ram drive. Either square or round table may be fitted. The square table is intended for use on straight work, whereas when circular work, gear cutting. etc., is to be undertaken a circular table would be required. The table is calibrated in degrees on the periphery, and a power feed as well as a hand feed is provided. A puncher slotter has a large length of stroke (1800-2000 mm).
